Toppel Career Center
Toppel Career Center is the main center for career advising at the University of Miami. Toppel offers daily walk-in hours and individual appointments as well as workshops, informational videos, career fairs, and on-campus recruiting events with employers. Specialized career advising in a variety of different fields serves students interested in most professions. Students are encouraged to join Toppel’s Handshake recruiting platform in addition to various social media platforms to stay up-to-date on events and information.
ASPIRE (Arts & Sciences Program for Internship-Related Experiences)
ASPIRE is a recently launched program in the College, aimed at assisting students at all levels find enriching out-of-classroom practical experiences, including internships. ASPIRE internships offer students an unparalleled opportunity: (1) to partner with an agency/organization approved by faculty; (2) to participate in projects closely tied to academic curriculum; and (3) to apply critical-thinking, data analysis, leadership, methodological, and theoretical skills to the scope of applied work. ASPIRE functions as an intermediary, a link, a mechanism among Arts & Sciences departments and programs, in addition to being a link to Toppel Career Center, and off-campus organizations.
